16 of us descended into Hanoi for a 6N7D golf trip from 22-28 Nov last month. With people from Perth, Malaysia, Singapore and UK, it was laughter, great food and beer and 4days of superb golf, all made possible by Vietnam Luxury Golf Tours.

We booked with Ms Pham Hong sometime in Aug, paid 50% deposit with rest paid on arrival. Stayed at Hotel Tirant in the old quarters – nice boutique hotel, good breakfast and clean rooms. And very convenient getting to many drinking and eating joints around the area. Most local canned beers sell for about US 50 cents each!

The Luxury Golf package came with 4 games, with a rest day in the middle. We played the Phoenix Dragon course, Long Bien, SkyLake and Van Tri. Journeys took between 40 to 100 mins each way. Closest was Long Bien and some of us even arranged to play privately there on the 3rd day (promotion rate then was about 1.7M Dong (with caddy and buggy and a 200K Dong meal voucher). Food and drinks at Long Bien were very reasonable. In terms of golf, our majority preference was (1) Van Tri, (2) Long Bien, (3) Phoenix followed by (4) SkyLake.

All said, both Ms Pham and Mr Hung (our daily guide), and the drivers were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. We were given a framed picture of our group on departure. Although it was a very nice gesture, they indicated in future they would consider a logo-ed T-shirt or umbrella which would be more practical for golfers. Well done!

We all had a very good time and we wont hesitate to use Luxury Golf again to coordinate things for us. We will be back!
